All in-house wood is hand selected from the suppliers stock. The primary criteria are resonance and appearance. From this choice stock, I will tailor my selection of woods for your guitar after writing the order with you...the client.
The ordering process has several facets and ties directly into the style of guitar Gordy will build for you. Attention to every detail is important, from knowing the kinds of music played, to the preference for strings on the instrument. This keen attention to the minute detail guides Gordy in selecting the wood to construct the best guitar for his customer.
